The Ethical Committee is composed of one member for each partner either from their scientific team or from their institute administration, with a strong knowledge of ethical issue.

Tasks

  • identify the ethical issues at stake with regard to the development, characterisation and use of animal models, as well as the potential safety and liability issues of the therapies under development, and then advise the consortium on the nature research activities, to anticipate the ethic issues and to take actions in order to make the researchers aware about such issues
  • keeping the participants well-informed about the new ethical regulations relevant to the PAINCAGE project.
  • ensuring that the existing ethical rules are met.
  • increasing the researchers’ awareness of ethical issues.

Members will participate in European meetings relevant to the ethical issues arising from the work.
